Fara is a Malagasy animated series that follows Fara, a 10-year-old girl, and her 12-year-old brother Koto as they seek acceptance in a new village. Living with disabilities, the two siblings face prejudice and daily challenges with courage, humor, and solidarity, accompanied by their loyal chicken, Kotkot.

As their family goes through a period of great hardship, Fara and Koto draw strength and hope from traditional Malagasy folktales, passed down through ancient stories, legends, and popular knowledge. These tales become tools that help them understand the world, solve problems, and overcome hardships.

Throughout the episodes, the children explore Malagasy villages and legends, learning essential values such as respect, tolerance, acceptance of differences, and perseverance. Fara highlights the richness of Malagasy culture while addressing universal themes from a child’s perspective, creating a bridge between ancestral traditions and contemporary realities.
