Everett Kwanou, a man deeply in love, made the choice twenty years ago to sacrifice his own dream to finance his wife Komera’s engineering studies. He became a stay-at-home husband, taking care of their home while she pursued her ambitions and became a successful entrepreneur. This unconventional decision distanced him from his father, the King of the Tikélé, a highly conservative man. Upon his father’s death, and intending to teach Everett a lesson, King Kwanou includes him in a competition for the throne, pitting him against Komera. Confident, Everett believes that out of love, Komera will forfeit the duel. But to his great surprise, she is determined to fight for the crown.
