Leaving her fiancé behind in Côte d’Ivoire, her life takes an unexpected turn as she sets foot for the first time on the island of her ancestors, which she has always idealized. There, she meets Éric, a staunch defender of the oppressed, who challenges her beliefs and takes her on a journey to discover the Caribbean far different from the one she had imagined.
