A French IP Market Organized in Mumbai in March 2026
A French IP Market will take place in Mumbai on March 14 and 15, 2026, to connect French publishers and producers with buyers from India and Southeast Asia.
The initiative is supported by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Institut français, as part of the export strategy for Cultural and Creative Industries.
India produces around 2,000 films and 200,000 hours of content per year in an audiovisual landscape dominated by regional languages and domestic content. While foreign works remain sparingly visible in theaters, they circulate more widely via streaming platforms. In this context, French IPs have already led to several local adaptations, such as the series Caméra Café.
One-on-One Meetings and Group Sessions
The Mumbai market is specifically aimed at companies such as Jio Studio, Yash Raj Films, Dharma Productions, Netflix, Amazon, Aamir Khan Productions, or Banijay. Special attention will be paid to South Indian producers, invited with the support of producer and journalist Sujatha Narayanan.
The format combines group presentation sessions, case studies, one-on-one meetings, and networking events. The event is part of a dense industry schedule, taking place alongside the Red Lorry Film Festival and close to major international events like HK Filmart and C21 Content India, to optimize participants' travel schedules.
