Betty Sulty-Johnson a été nommée membre suppléant du Fonds Image de la Francophonie de l’Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) pour la période 2026-2027.

Cette nomination vient saluer son expertise dans les domaines de la production, de la distribution et des coproductions internationales, développée au fil de son parcours dans l’industrie audiovisuelle.

Fondatrice de HABEBO STUDIOS, elle défend une création engagée, portée par la diversité, l’authenticité et les récits humains.

Productrice et distributrice indépendante basée à Paris, elle œuvre à travers ses projets au rayonnement des cultures africaines et ultramarines à l’international.

Cette nomination confirme également son engagement de longue date pour une meilleure représentation des femmes noires dans l’audiovisuel et sa contribution au développement d’un paysage médiatique plus inclusif.

FRANCOPHONIE IMAGE FUND

Betty Sulty-Johnson has been appointed alternate member of the Francophonie Image Fund of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF) for the 2026–2027 term.

This appointment recognizes her expertise in production, distribution, and international co-productions, developed throughout her career in the audiovisual industry.

As the founder of HABEBO STUDIOS, she advocates for committed storytelling driven by diversity, authenticity, and human narratives. An independent producer and distributor based in Paris, she works to promote African and overseas cultures on an international scale.

This recognition also highlights her long-standing commitment to improving the representation of Black women in the audiovisual industry and her contribution to a more inclusive media landscape.
